Metro Los Angeles new transit etiquette public service announcement is either a dream or a nightmare, depending on your perspective, but the transit agency clearly spared no expense in trying to impart a few lessons on courteous riding.
Anna Chen announces a transit etiquette public service announcement for the Metro Los Angeles transit system. In the videos, we see "transit-riding magical girl Super Kind" and her arch-nemesis, Rude Dude, dealing with a series of typical transit faux pas.
See for yourselves the lessons in eating, blocking the aisle, and seat hogging.
According to Chen, Metro "put a lot of effort into these videos in hopes they would be seen by a ton of people, including most of our riders," because "[t]o a large extent, it’s up to you, dear riders, to help us make going Metro a more pleasant and comfortable experience."
Steve Hymon followed up in a separate post to collect social media responses, which are, understandably given the ambition of the project, mixed.
Now can transit riders make a highly stylized PSA asking Metro to implement all-door boarding?
