Streetsblog USA wants you to use #walkinginthemargins to expose hostile pedestrian environments.

Streetsblog USA is embarking on a crowdsourcing project to increase awareness about hostile pedestrian environments. Too often, it is the victim that gets blamed when a pedestrian gets hurt or killed. Writes Angie Schmitt:
Do you have photos of people trying to navigate dangerous situations on foot? Either your own work or pulled from Google Maps? Send your images to angie [at] streetsblog [dot] org or tag them on Twitter with #walkinginthemargins.
Schmitt was moved to action by seeing a post by Better Burque that showed an image of a child walking along a dirt shoulder of a busy two-lane roadway near a school in Albuquerque.
