The city of Houston will have a new addition at the tallest reaches of its skyline as soon as 2019. William Axford reports:
Emporis, a company that researches construction projects and buildings across the country, reports a new building called The Midtown is slated to be completed in the neighborhood by 2019. The estimated $200 million project will stand at 328 feet once completed, rivaling the tallest buildings in the city.
According to the article, much of Houston's high-rise development momentum has shifted away from Downtown, into neighborhoods like Midtown and Montrose. Back in July 2016, the narrative about Houston's high-rise condo development market was lukewarm thanks to the oil slump.
