Express rail between the Loop and O'Hare moves a step closer to reality

A partnership between the Chicago Infrastructure Trust and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel have released a Request for Qualifications to construct a rapid rail line to move passengers between downtown Chicago and O'Hare. The RFQ calls for 15 minute service during a majority of the day at fares that are competitive with taxis and ride-share services.
Notably, there will be no taxpayer funding to support the project.
Early interest shown in the project includes that of Elon Musk, who tweeted that his infrastructure firm, The Boring Co., will likely submit a bid.
