TransitCenter has released a new National Ridership Map.

TransitCenter recently announced the launch of a new National Ridership Map that provides an easy way to "explore ridership trends in the country’s largest metropolitan areas."
The interactive map "uses American Community Survey (ACS) data and data from the Federal Transit Administration’s National Transit Database (NTD), which provides standardized ridership and operational data from all U.S. transit agencies" to illustrate the idea that "all ridership is local."
The post announcing the new map also provides a few local snapshots to illustrate the power of the tool. The post mines Chicago and New Orleans for lessons on transit ridership.
