The Roland Park Civic League is trying to get rid of bike lanes on Roland Avenue, arguing that they're dangerous.

Baltimore has long lagged behind other American cities in bike infrastructure. The city has seen a concerted push-back after building some protected bike lanes. "Since the bike lanes were installed back in 2015, Cooper says bad engineering from the bike lanes has impacted businesses, schools, libraries, and even walkers," Jonathan McCall reports for CBS.
These protected bike lanes have faced opposition since they were built, with residents complaining that the narrower streets have meant mirrors getting knocked off cars, among other complaints.
