LEDs Are Worth 160 Coal Plants

Some hate the way LEDs light up the public realm, but if you're trying to reduce carbon emissions, it's impossible to ignore the achievements of LED light bulbs.

Quartz has partnered with Reuters on an article slash infographic that explains and illustrates the contribution of LED lights to the fight to reduce carbon emissions around the world.

According to the post, LED light bulbs have reduced 570 million tons of carbon emissions—equivalent to 160 coal power plants.
