The Trump Administration is rescinding another in a string of environmental regulations from the Obama Administration—this time it's the Clean Water Rule's protections for streams and waterways.
"Environmental Protection Agency head Scott Pruitt announced Wednesday that the agency will delay the implementation of the Obama-era Clean Water Rule by two years," reports Kate Wheeling. The EPA will spend that two years redrafting the Clean Water Rule.
The Clean Water Rule battled controversy leading up to its adoption in 2015. Lawsuits followed, and a back and forth between courts, finally ending at the Supreme Court, paved the way for the U.S. EPA announcement this week.
