A new plan proposes four round trips from Milwaukee and Racine to Foxconn's proposed Mount Pleasant plant.

Milwaukee County Board Chairman Theodore Lipscomb Sr. has proposed two bus routes to serve Wisconsin's new Foxconn factory. "Two routes, one from downtown Milwaukee and the other from downtown Racine, could serve more than 1,300 production shift workers a day, according to an analysis by the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission," reports Don Behm for Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Buses would make four round trips from both Racine and Milwaukee. "Trips would take between 40 and 55 minutes from downtown Milwaukee to Foxconn and between 20 and 30 minutes from downtown Racine to Foxconn, depending on traffic congestion," Behm reports. Racine and Milwaukee counties would bear the cost of this transit. "The Taiwanese company has been offered up to $4 billion in state and local subsidies to build and operate the high-tech manufacturing plant in Mount Pleasant."
