"'Masshole,' 'It's Draining Men' and 'Sir Drains a Lot' are just some of the hilarious nicknames people have used as part of Houston's volunteer adopt-a-drain program," reports Fernando Alfonso III.

"The program, which was started to keep water flowing and avoid backups especially as flood recovery continues following Hurricane Harvey, allows people to search for the drain nearest them and give it a nickname online," explains Alfonso. There are some responsibilities involved, which are detailed in the source article.

In the meantime, I'm thinking about moving to Houston just to adopt a drain. My first ideas for a nickname are Hermione Drainger, for the Harry Potter nerds, or Brain Drain, for the demographics nerds.
