The 2018 ParkScore is now available.
The Trust for Public Land (TPL) has released their 2018 ParkScore Index, an annual ranking of the largest U.S. cities bazed on park access, acreage, and funding.
TPL has produced the ParkScore index on an annual basis every year since 2009, but this year the organization also rolled out a new tool along with the ranking—"a brand new, cutting-edge data platform for mapping access to parks in nearly every city and town in the country."
As for the rankings, the Twin Cities lead the nation in parks, with Minneapolis taking the top spot and St. Paul finishing just behind. Washington, D.C.; Arlington, Virginia; and San Francisco round out the top five.
