Last month, Hawaii officials broke ground on what will be the state's first affordable micro-housing complex. Olivia Peterkin writes, "Dubbed Nohona Hale, the affordable housing complex will feature units that are about 300 square-feet, and will be the first micro-affordable housing unit of its kind in Hawaii."
Peterkin goes on, "Nohona Hale will have 110 rental units, with proposed rents ranging from $500 to $995 a month, for qualified applicants." It's set to be completed in January of 2020.
