The Economist Intelligence Unit has released its Global Liveability Index for 2018, quantifying and ranking livability for cities around the world.

Sticking to U.S. cities, Honolulu ranks first on the index, followed by Pittsburgh. Honolulu comes in at number 23 for global cities, while Pittsburgh comes in at number 32.
