The Ford administration is moving forward with a scheme to "upload" control of Toronto's TTC subway to provincial control.

"The Progressive Conservative provincial government is moving ahead with its controversial plan to take over Toronto’s subway system," reports Ben Spurr.
Specifically, "Transportation Minister John Yakabuski announced the appointment of a special adviser who will chart a course for uploading the city-owned rail network to the province." Michael Lindsay, a former vice-president at Infrastructure Ontario and director at Hatch, an engineering consulting firm, has been appointed to the special advisor role.
Spurr has been following premier Ontario Premier Doug Ford's machinations to take over the TTC subway network in the first months since Ford's Conservative government took power over two months ago.
