The Neighborhoods With the Most Millennials Are Mostly in New York and Chicago

RENTCafe identified Millennial hotspots by Zip Code. You've probably never heard of them.

Apartment search site RENTCafe has completed a study that identifies the locations in the United States with the most millennials.

Using American Community Survey data from 2011 and 2016, and defining Millennials as people born between the years 1977 and 1996, the study identified neighborhoods in Brooklyn, Chicago, and Queens as the neighborhoods with the most Millennials in the country.

"Nine out of the top 20 zip codes with the largest millennial population are in New York, but none in Manhattan," according to a post explaining the findings of the study written by Nadia Balint.

Elizabeth Hernandez picked up news of the study for The Denver Post, noting fairly predictable results for that city and region. "Denver’s Capitol Hill is home to the sixth largest share of millennials in the country, with 66 percent of the neighborhood’s population belonging to city dwellers between the ages of 22 and 37," according to Hernandez.
