Emory College printed an editorial supporting a MARTA light rail line on the Clifton Corridor.

Emory College ran an editorial supporting the Clifton Corridor MARTA light rail line in its Emory News publication. "The project would help ease traffic congestion and provide transit access for thousands of workers who cannot easily reach Emory, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the VA, while also making it easier for Emory students and faculty to travel to Atlanta communities for research, service projects and internships," argues Emory News.
Besides highlighting the benefits of the proposed transit expansion, the piece also called for students, alumni and faculty to publicly support the effort, asking them to contact city council members and the MARTA board.
"In addition to streamlining commutes, the proposed line could also help improve regional air quality by reducing the number of daily drivers on the road, along with automotive emissions," Emory News argues.
The Clifton Corridor is one of the project's under consideration under the More MARTA plan, which has been one of the most thoroughly discussed planning issues in the Southeastern region fo the United States in recent months.
