Alan Palazzolo and Andy Mannix share a new mapping project by the Star Tribune that takes an extremely detailed look at how zoning will enable the evolution of Minneapolis over the next 20 years under the proposed Minneapolis 2040 plan.

Here's how Palazzalo and Mannix describe the amibitons of the Minneapolis 2040 plan, as currently proposed:

Minneapolis planners have proposed upzoning the city to allow for triplexes in all neighborhoods, even those now reserved for single-family homes, and four-to-six story buildings along some transit corridors. The plan offers guidance on how to keep Minneapolis affordable, environmentally friendly and racially equitable as the population grows over the next two decades.

The parcel-by-parcel map the story features included renderings of the each of the plan's new zoning and land use designations, along with descriptions of the city's current zoning designations for comparison.
