Professor Ann Forsyth will begin a five-year term as editor of the Journal of the American Planning Association (JAPA) on January 1, 2019.

Ann Forsyth, professor at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, has been named as the new editor of the Journal of the American Planning Association (JAPA) after a national search.
At Harvard, Forsyth is co-director of the Healthy Places Design Lab, while publishing articles in JAPA, the Journal of Planning Education and Research, the Journal of Urban Design, and many others. Forsyth has also been book review editor of JPER, co-editor of Planning Theory, associate editor of JAPA, and a blogger at Planetizen.
Forsyth takes over for Sandi Rosenbloom of the University of Texas, Austin, the outgoing editor, and Tim Chapin of Florida State University, the outgoing senior associate editor.
