"A new report has given letter grades to bus service in all 50 wards and on some of the busiest routes, rating them on speed, bus 'bunching' and delays," reports Mary Wisniewski. "Not many make the honor roll."

"The report by the Active Transportation Alliance, an advocacy group for transit riders, bicyclists and pedestrians, gave mostly C’s and D’s to wards and routes, only one A and even a few F’s."

The report blames the lack of priority given to buses on increasingly congested streets for most of the struggles of bus service in the city. Meanwhile, bus ridership in the city has decreased by 21 percent since 2012.
