Dreams look a lot more like reality this week in Dallas.

Mark Lamster shares news of the big reveal of the "first legitimate vision" for the Trinity Park planned for the spaces between the levees surrounding the Trinity River in Dallas.
In typical Texas style, the first look is a big show—a 64-foot-long, 8-foot-tall annotated cross-section. Lamster describes the landscape visualized by the display as "extraordinary."
Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates designed the park, which "will transform the 200 acres between the Ron Kirk (formerly the Continental Avenue) and the Margaret McDermott bridges into a grand urban park," according to Lamster. Lamster says the design deserves political support, and its successes stem from its "essential simplicity and modesty." A lot more design review is included in the source article.
