The real estate market in most of New York City is sluggish to close out 2018, but for now, Long Island City is going gangbusters.

The November announcement that Amazon would locate half of its second headquarters in Long Island City, Queens "has been greeted with euphoria among real estate brokers who have seen a sudden gold rush of interest in the local condo market," according to an article by Corey Kilgannon.

The article tours the locations anchoring the boom, and digs into the dollar amounts that have resulted from the hype.
