A new study maps out affordability and inequality across Toronto's transit network.

In a study on housing affordability in Toronto, real estate agency Zoocasa mapped out home prices within a 10-minute walk of TTC subway stations.
The stations surrounded by the most expensive homes or condos were along Line 1, which runs through affluent areas like York Mills and Summerhill. The lowest home prices were on the east side of the city, particularly near the Ellesmere, Midland, and Lawrence East stations along the Scarborough LRT line.
The Star notes that "the disparity in price also confirms the growing income inequality in the city, as neighbourhoods in Scarborough tend to represent lower-income households, whereas places such as Rosedale and midtown Toronto tend to have higher incomes."
An infographic visualizing prices along the TCC line is included inThe Star's report.
