Responding to a particularly deadly year for pedestrians, Connecticut state legislators are considering House Bill 5324, which among other measures would return speed limits to local control, reports Daniel Altimari.
"Pedestrian deaths in the state increased by 20% between 2017 and 2018, according to available data," according to Altimari. "Reasons for the increases are varied, but some experts blame distracted drivers, larger, more powerful vehicles and speed."
