The city plans to build eight enhanced bus stops that streamline boarding and offer seating, shelter, and ticketing machines.

The Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation, known as IndyGo, celebrated the opening of a ‘super stop’ aimed at making bus travel more convenient, comfortable, and accessible, reports Timoria Cunningham in the Indianapolis Recorder.
“This $6.6 million dollar project combines multiple bus stops into one stop, which is intended to make the IndyGo bus experience smoother to navigate,” Cunningham writes. “The boarding process for the buses is made quicker with new ticket vending machines that allow riders to purchase their bus tickets ahead of time, along with real-time screens that show arrival times for buses.”
According to IndyGo, the agency will build eight similar stops around the city.
