Several city resolutions will fund projects that help residents find housing and eviction prevention services.

New legislation approved by the Atlanta City Council will bring $200,000 of additional funding to an affordable housing program and mandate eviction mediation services for future housing developments receiving city incentives, reports Collin Kelley in Rough Draft Atlanta.
Kelley adds, “The legislation also requires that landlords disclose all fees that a tenant will be responsible for paying more than the base rental rate. There is also a provision requesting funding recipients make housing available for households receiving rent subsidies.”
Other resolutions authorize $2 million for the Star-C eviction diversion program and $150,000 to the Atlanta Land Trust “to support identifying, qualifying, and facilitating 21 home buyers for permanent affordable units.”
