Some people think of Houston as an oil town; other people think of it as a transit town. This podcast is for the second kind of person.

Craig Hlavaty reports on a new podcast created by the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (Metro) meant to offer insight into the daily working of the transit system for the fourth most populated city in the country.
"[The podcast is] geared towards those who have always wanted to know more about the mass transit agency which in 2017 alone took Houstonians on more than 113 million rides around its 1,300-square-mile service area," writes Hlavaty.
Metro's Laura Whitley produces and hosts the podcast, called "The Next Stop." So far episodes have included an episode devoted to younger riders and another explaining "commuter hacks" for daily riders of the system.
