Plans For Idaho's Largest Development Abandoned

Developers abandoned their plans to build what would have been Idaho's largest residential development saying the project´s progress has been bled dry by too many government regulations.

After more than seven years of planning, developers say continued “nit-picking” of plans for the 1,803-acre development by planners became too much to endure, and too costly for Idaho's largest development. They said their decision rested largely on Harris Ranch´s inability to comply with the requirements of three local regulatory entities. The demise of the Harris Ranch plan could mean the rest of the Harris Ranch property could be sold off piecemeal.
