Caltrain will end service into the city of San Francisco while it converts the route to electric power.

"Caltrain weekend service to San Francisco will come to a screeching halt starting Oct. 6, and won’t start again until 'late Spring' 2019," reports Joe Fitzgerald Rodriguez.
The closure will allow for work on the Caltrain electrification project, which actually broke ground over a year ago.
While the weekend service is out, trains "will terminate at Bayshore Station, with free bus service provided from there to San Francisco stations during regular weekend service," according to Fitzgerald Rodriguez.
