Quebec City To Rename 922 Streets

About one-fifth of the streets in Quebec City will be renamed in a massive transformation of the cityscape.

"The municipal merger in Quebec City revealed a confusing array of repeated names that have caused problems for Canada Post, Bell Canada and Quebec City's fire and police departments. The city toyed with creating neighbourhood districts called arrondissements, such as those found in Paris, but decided to eliminate duplication instead."
