The Onion's satirical news skills are put to use in canvassing public opinion about climate change.

The regular installment of "American Voices" by the satirical (fake) news website The Onion this week followed on the real news of a poll finding that more Americans say climate change is personally important than ever before.
The poll, from Yale and George Mason, found "more than 70 percent of Americans now feel climate change is personally important to them, a 9 percent increase from last March and a record in polling that reveals rapidly changing perspectives nationwide," according to the Onion.
The news about the poll is real. The responses from three fictitious Americans are fake. So the response from Anne Ingram, a "Well Geologist," is exactly the kind of satire that excoriates the current moment. When asked what she thinks about more Americans saying climate change is personally important, Anne responds: "Well, it caused my divorce if that’s what you mean."
There are a couple more choice responses in the source, satirical article.
