"Some people claim that Smart Growth is "an antidote to sterile, homogenous development, but, perhaps ironically, there's no room for such an innovative approach to subdivisions in Maryville at this time. The city Planning Commission Monday rejected on three fronts an effort by Bridgeway Partners to construct a 200-unit "New Urbanism" condominium community...Sterling said he tracks emerging trends in community oriented development, and this project was on the cutting edge of design."
