Steven Sharp reports that the design and architecture firm Gensler will develop a master plan for the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.

The master plan will detail $3.8 million of restoration and improvement work for the popular tourist attraction. The Walk of Fame is a National Historic Landmark jointly managed by the City of Los Angeles and the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

"The master plan, initiated one year ago by Hollywood Councilmember Mitch O'Farrell, is intended to build a 'more pleasant, cohesive, and enjoyable experience,' along the 1.3 mile corridor," writes Sharp.
