"Affordable Housing Production: Comparing the Expenditures of Six U.S.Cities", released by the Southern California Association of Non-Profit Housing, examines the housing production expenditures of major U.S.cities, including Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, San Jose, Chicago,and Phoenix. Among the findings: New York City spends the most on affordable housing production: $599,667,700; Four out of the six cities spend more per person on affordable housing production than Los Angeles.
