The Sound Transit light-rail proposal is back on track.
"Federal auditors have given Sound Transit's light-rail project a clean bill of health, increasing the odds that the first tracks could be laid by September...With the report in hand, Jennifer Dorn, the head of the Federal Transit Administration, is expected to notify Congress that the FTA intends to sign a $500 million grant agreement. After a 60-day review period by Congress, the FTA and Sound Transit are free to complete the deal, and FTA has already rated the project 'highly recommended.'"
