The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) named TransLink in Vancouver the best transit system in North America.

"The B.C. transit authority [TransLink] announced Wednesday that it had been awarded the 2019 Outstanding Public Transportation System Achievement Award," reports Stephanie Ip.
The APTA awarded TransLink with the honor based on criteria that include "ridership growth, operational efficiency, maintenance initiatives, customer service, financial management, marketing and sustainability," explains Ip.
