Park City wants people to ride its bus, so they're giving away prizes. The Park City Transit bus service is already free and the city has a bus-only lane it hopes will bring riders wishing to avoid traffic, but starting July 29, Park City Transit will also be giving away prizes like gift cards and water bottles to riders. Alexis Verson, a transportation planner for the city, says he hopes the event will get more people to try the service and show bus riders they are appreciated. "Verson hopes Try Transit Week will also prepare people for using transit this weekend during the Kimball Arts Festival," Emily Means reports for KPCW.
