U.S. cities and regions are both showing how electric buses can be done and taking too long to do it. A new report focuses on success stories.

Jason Plautz shares news of a new report from the United States Public Interest Research Group (U.S. PIRG) and Environment America that evaluates six cities leading the effort in the United States to electrify bus transit fleets.
"The report, developed with the Frontier Group, found that electric buses can be successful in a diverse mix of areas, even those with cold winters. The report profiled: Seneca, SC; Chicago; King County, WA; Albuquerque, NM; Twin Rivers, CA; and a bus pilot in Amherst, Cambridge and Concord, MA," reports Plautz.
According to Plautz, the adoption of electric buses has been slow in the United States, despite a few leading initiatives, but the diversity of success stories have gone underreported.
