Facing the wrecking ball a local citizen and artist of Buffalo, NY fulfill a dream of saving a landmark. " We sat recently in the church's horseshoe-shaped balcony, overlooking what's soon to be a concert hall. Outside, workers in hard hats climbed scaffolds running 75 feet up the Medina sandstone steeple. The place that seven years ago had a date with the bulldozers is, thanks to Fisher and DiFranco, being revived as a performance space, record company headquarters and new home for Hallwalls arts center.Call it a resurrection."
