The completely fake news site, the Onion is back to satirize the American love of the automobile—this time, taking up the issue of massive pickup trucks and SUVs:

In an effort to maintain their lead in the increasingly competitive heavy-duty sport utility vehicle market, General Motors unveiled Friday their new 14-seat, 11-door, 7-wheel, 4-trunk Chevrolet Teton.

While this article is hilarious (as a coping mechanism for those of frightened by the inability of culture to act rationally on behalf of other human beings), the consequences of car culture, namely to pedestrian safety and the health of the planet, is very, very serious.
