The conference had been postponed with the potential of being rescheduled later this year.

"The American Institute of Architects (AIA) has officially canceled its annual conference due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis," reports Matt Hickman.
"Originally slated to kick off May 14 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the AIA Conference on Architecture 2020 was postponed in mid-March while the organization mulled rescheduling possibilities for later in the year," so now we know the possibility of postponement is no longer on the table.
Last week, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti speculated that all mass gatherings might be prohibited in the city until 2021. The AIA now joins the American Planning Association among built environment professions to cancel national conferences as a result of the pandemic.
