Gehry Lashes Out At Urban Design Reporter

Architect Frank Gehry lashed out at urban design critic over a column criticizing the Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles.

Recalls Kaplan: "Frank came up to me, shook my hand and said, 'You don't know a ------- thing about urban design. It's not your forte.' I said, 'Frank, that's your opinion,' and he said 'You can go ---- off.' Gehry made the comments in front of several media attending the event. Kaplan, who was also a design critic for the L.A. Times, said a public relations official apologized for the comments."
