" Frank Gehry is a very funny fellow, as well as a great architect, an attribute he demonstrated Tuesday night with stand-up comic skill as he led a brief tour of his dramatic, still-under-construction band shell in Millennium Park...'I really wanted to emulate Mies van der Rohe,' Gehry deadpanned, drawing guffaws from the crowd because his exuberant, expressionistic architecture is the precise opposite of Mies' sober, 'less is more' boxes of steel and glass.Gehry talked about how great it was to be in Chicago, a city renowned for its architecture--much more so than his own city of Los Angeles."
