A recent survey of Seattle voters finds widespread support for the continued expansion of the Link light rail system in Seattle.

After Seattle opened its new Northgate Link light rail extension on Saturday, advocates are rallying support for a much larger expansion program, citing public support for the idea identified in a recent Change Research poll of Seattle voters.
According to an article on the Seattle Transit Blog, the survey found 76 percent of voters would support a new transit funding measure to expand Link light rail. Of that total, 48 percent strongly support such a measure.
"The evidence confirms what many of us have known for years: Seattle needs a citywide plan for high quality rail expansion and, though ST3 is a start, the system we’ll have once ST3 is done is a long way from 'done' for Seattle," according to the article.
The article lists a lack of political will for funding from the state among the obstacles to an ambitious Link expansion plan.
