The Michigan legislature takes steps to outlaw a new dashboard device that makes certain traffic lights turn green.

An earlier PLANetizen story reports on a new device for sale on the Internet that causes traffic lights to turn green as the vehicle with the device approach. Michigan Senator Tony Stamas has now promised to introduce legislation to make it illegal to possess such equipment. "Highway officials say most states would consider it illegal to interfere with traffic in an intersection... Can you imagine the nightmare our roads would be if everybody had one?"
