Under the impression that the town would be sterile and too perfect, he found that sandwich shop patrons avoid him, real estate agents either ignore or placate him, Leon comes to the conclusion that "new urbanism isn't really changing how people live--it's merely another suburban subdivision masquerading as a small town."
