"Sens. John McCain and Jon Kyl, both Arizona Republicans, will be in Flagstaff and Camp Verde on Saturday for public meetings on what would be the largest Forest Service land exchange in state history. But opposition appears to be galvanizing on the other end of the deal in the Verde Valley...'He's (Ruskin's) trying to build Anthem North up here,' said Tony Gioia, a Camp Verde town councilman, expressing the anti-growth side of the opposition and what he said is the land swap's potential to double the population of Camp Verde to nearly 20,000."
