It's a sad day for fans of Keanu Reeves who have also read a lot about Daniel Burnham.

Keanu Reeves will no longer be cast in the role of Daniel Burnham, one of the most famous planners in U.S. history, in a new movie based on the book The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic and Madness at the Fair That Changed America.

"This is the latest chapter in the long development history of the book," writes Joe Otterson while reporting the scoop on the casting change for Variety.

Even with the departure of Reeves, the star of popular films like Point Break, The Matrix, and Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, the film adaptation of the book by Erik Larson is pulling some major star power. "Martin Scorsese, Rick Yorn, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson of Appian Way, Stacey Sher, Sam Shaw, and Mark Lafferty serve as executive producers on the series," according to Otterson.
