This report from the Ohio Planning Conference includes three parts: A news article on growth controls, an editorial response, and an op-ed piece on impact fees.
On November 17, 2004, the Ohio House Subcommittee on Growth and Land Use, led by Representative Larry Wolpert of Hilliard, conducted a hearing at the Warren County Administration Building in Lebanon to receive testimony regarding growth and development issues associated with this rapidly growing portion of the state. This article includes an article that appeared in the Tuesday, November 18, 2003 Cincinnati Enquirer regarding the hearing as well as a editorial response to the article. As the article and editorial include references to impact fees, also included here is the recent Ohio Planning Foundation (OPF) bulletin addressing impact fees and their appropriateness.
