The Silver Line will ultimately provide a new way to get to downtown from Logan airport and other major transportation nodes in Boston. "The T has plans for hundreds of millions more for expansion of the system, much of which is required under a 1990 agreement that cleared the way for construction of the $14.6 billion Big Dig."
