James Kunstler's eyesore of the month highlights architectural blunders in his home town in Upstate New York and around the country.
"Were he a cheerleader, Kunstler might shout: 'U-G-L-Y. You ain't got no alibi. You ugly. You ugly.' After writing three books on 'the fiasco of postwar development in America,' the 54-year-old Saratoga Springs resident figured he should show and tell on a regular basis. 'The public has become immune to the fantastic, stupefying ugliness of our highway crudscape,' said Kunstler, who receives submissions for the monthly awards from Biloxi to Boston."
